System Configuration
The CONCEPT 32 is designed as a modular rack-mounted system -
Basic building block is a single 6U 19"shelf.
Up to 32 telephone interface circuits may normally be installed per shelf, with an option to extend a single shelf up to 40 line capacity.
Any number of shelves may be interlinked by the addition of Multiplexer units to allow system expansion.
Enclosures and Cabinets
The Concentrator shelves may be housed in a wall mounted or free-standing cubicle for operation from an external -50V dc supply.
Alternatively, shelves may be installed in standard 19" racks. A 240V ac power supply and 12-hour battery back up options can be integrated into all STS Signals’ systems.

Reliability and Operation
