STS Rail protects Hitachi’s Class 395 high speed passenger train
STS Rail is pleased to have supplied Hitachi with the Train Protection and advanced Warning System (TPWS) for their new Class 395 Javelin train that made its first high speed passenger run on 18th June 2009.

STS has worked closely with Hitachi to supply the TPWS including the new TY294 electronic receiver and a number of specially designed mounting and cabling assemblies. STS has also supplied dedicated test equipment to be used during manufacture and the trains ongoing maintenance and assisted in the necessary testing to obtain safety approval.
