PL7600 AWS Magnet Strength and Polarity Indicator

The indicator has been specifically designed to check the strength and polarity of British Railways Board A.W.S. Track Inductors both Electro and Permanent.

High grade magnetic iron components are used in the construction of the moving iron mechanism. The movement is housed in an aluminium housing finished in hammer finish paint. Gold for standard strength Inductors and Green for extra strength Inductors.

Each indicator is supplied in a leather carrying case to protect the instrument during transit. The Inductor strength is given by a pointer moving over a coloured scale Green to indicate that the Inductor is in good working order, Yellow to indicate that the Inductor is below strength and requires attention, Red to indicate that the Inductor is in a dangerous condition.

Polarity is shown by the letters P and E which are used to indicate the current polarity of permanent Inductors 'P' and energised electro Inductors 'E'.
