AWS Alarm and Indicator Unit

(retrofit model)

The STS AWS Alarm and Indicator Unit is part of Network Rail's Automatic Warning System and has been in use since 1983.

STS has now repackaged this unit to provide a direct retrofit replacement for the ageing Ferranti AWS indicator, and the separate AWS bell and horn giving a compact reliable combined unit.

• Straightforward, reliable and proven replacement for existing AWS indicators and alarms
• An internal quick release bayonet connector is provided for ease of fitting.
• Housing can be designed to suit any cab layout
• Decibel levels can be varied to suit individual cab requirement.

The combined unit meets the requirements of Network Rail Group Standard GE/RT8035.

The STS AWS Alarm and Indicator Unit provides:-

• Audible outputs to indicate Clear or Caution signals.
• A visual reminder to the Train Driver when the last signal was set at Caution.
• The audible outputs take the form of an electronic "Chime" for the Clear aspect and a continuous tone for signals at Caution.
• The visual indicator has a luminous dial for night viewing
