The STS TPWS System
The STS system is based around a microprosessor control unit to which all other AWS & TPWS equipment is connected. There are 3 main elements
- Sensing equipment to pick up information from track mounted magnets
- The control unit to process the information and send instructions directly to the train or driver
- Driver interface controls and indications
