WINDIAGS Software

The STS Signals “WINDIAGS” software program is a Microsoft Windows based application designed to run on a PC (usually a laptop) and enables the configuration and diagnosis of Network Controller equipment across a network of CONCEPT 32 telephone concentrators.

The WINDIAGS software has two functions:
• Allows PNC (Primary Network Controller) and CNC (Concentrator Network Controller) configuration parameters to be set up.
• Enables the “Alarm View” program to monitor, display, sort and print current and archived alarms.

The WINDIAGS program detects the Network Controller firmware, held in EPROM which determines whether a PNC or CNC is being configured, and displays the appropriate screen.

The WINDIAGS Alarm View program allows the engineer to display:
• Current Alarms
• Recent Alarms—alarms that are no longer in force
• Historical Alarms—alarms recorded in the alarm archive file Almlog.txt

Files may be deleted or printed using the appropriate button.

A search may be made for a specific fault or faults in Alarm Log View by entering a text string in the text box.

WINDIAGS is supplied on a 1.44Mb 3.5” diskette or CD-ROM with supporting documentation.
